I have worked in the fitness industry for over 20 years, first qualifying as an Exercise to Music Instructor and Personal Trainer and later as a Sports Therapist, specialising in Exercise Rehabilitation and Remedial Massage. I now specialise in teaching Pilates, combining my Sports Therapy knowledge and BSc Rehabilitation Studies, to provide a unique perspective in this body conditioning system.
I first discovered the beneficial effects of Pilates after the birth of my daughter, when my lower back required some attention. Within four weeks I felt stronger, had a greater feeling of support in my lower back and had improved mobility. It made me aware of how important Pilates can be in post natal health, of which I have a particular interest.
The results I have experienced with Pilates have inspired me to pass on to others, the remarkable effects Pilates can have on the body. I hope you agree, after trying Pilates for yourself.
